Paul Thomas
General Manager
Paul has been working in the Health and Social Care field for over 12 years; specifically in the field of Autism and Challenging Behaviour. Paul has gained many qualifications in those years including an NVQ level 5 in Operational Management and is working towards a degree in Autism. Paul also has vast experience in training staff in those areas, a passion he will continue.
Paul has been with Cintre since October 2009 as General Manager. Paul has been in senior management roles during the last 5 years including Operational and Development Director so is well qualified and has the relevant experience to be taking Cintre into its next faze of development.
Paul has managed many services in the past, always gaining good/excellent standards with CQC. Paul has a passion and dedication to the care sector to which he has given so much time. Paul believes in a standard of excellence, whilst using a person centered approach to all care matters.

Gordon MacDonnell

Gordon, a family man with three grown up children, has more than thirty years transferable managerial skills and experience in industry. He helped run a children’s nursery with his wife before choosing to enter the care environment. Gordon has worked for Cintre since 2000 and has been the Registered Manager for Cintre House since 2003. Gordon has a strong belief in, and promotes, the independence of the individual. He holds the Registered Managers Award NVQ level 4 and NEBOSH and IOSH certificates (health and safety).

Jayne Giles
Registered Manager
Jayne has worked in the care sector for over twenty years, with the last ten years of those in a supervisory or managerial position. Having begun her career in the elderly care sector, her own interests and goals took her to the mental health and learning disability sectors, working up through senior team leader to deputy and finally registered manager level. She now holds both an NVQ Level 4 and the Registered Manager’s Award.
Having previously worked for Cintre as a Registered Manager for two and a half years, she returned to the charity early in 2011 as Registered Manager for Severn Oaks. As well as past experience in other residential settings, Jayne also has experience as a supported living manager as well as other roles in community-based care, giving her a well-rounded experience and knowledge of the learning disability care sector.

Rhys Owen
Registered Manager
Rhys has worked in the Health and Social Care and Housing sector for 6 years in various capacities including Support Worker, Deputy Project Manager. He has experience of working with adults and young people who have learning difficulties in residential and community settings.
Before joining Cintre in August 2011, Rhys worked for a Bristol base organisation working with 16-25 year olds in an emergency accommodation project as a Deputy Project Manager. Rhys entered the field of Health and Social Care after completing a BA Hons in Education and Early Childhood Studies here in Bristol; here he worked in a low secure unit with adult with Aspergers Syndrome and Autism. Rhys has also undertaken a number of vocational and academic courses which are of relevance to both sectors. Rhys has the enthusiasm to further is knowledge in both learning difficulties and leadership and management.
He has a passion for empowerment and for services to be service user focus leaded. This has been helped with the knowledge and skill of a particular interest of his in person-centred approaches which helps promote independence, community living and participation for adults and young people who have a learning difficulty. Rhys feels that community living is the next step for your people with support needs and believe that an integrated system for service user increase the ability for people to live more independently.
